This liquid pouch is built around a stand-up base and a top spout with a screw cap that can be opened and closed repeatedly. Once filled, the pack stands upright on a shelf, so it is easy to display and pour. It is mainly used for measured portions of laundry detergent and other household liquids, and it also works for portable packs of seasonings, sauces and similar food liquids. Portion-by-portion dispensing is easier to control than reopening a large drum, and it limits how often the contents are exposed.

The pouch body is a multi-layer laminate, with each film taking on a different job such as printability, barrier performance or heat sealing.
