The pouch is built from laminated materials, and after heat sealing the functional layers create a sealed chamber. Because cream and jam are viscous, smooth dispensing depends on the inner sealant layer's thickness and the spout opening size. A barrier layer helps limit oxygen and aroma transfer, which supports flavour retention in jam-style products.
