This food-grade liquid pouch sits within the liquid pouch bag range and is built for filling and packing flowable products such as juice, beverages, concentrates and seasoning liquids. The laminate is made from PET, NY and PE: PET contributes stiffness and good printability, NY improves flexibility and puncture resistance, and PE serves as the heat-seal layer that comes into direct contact with the contents. The formulation is food-grade, and the lamination process is controlled to reduce odour transfer.
Common thickness is 8–14 silk (0.08–0.14 mm). Pouch formats include stand-up, three-side seal and spouted styles; volume is customised to the filling machine specification, and printing can run in 1–8 colours. Typical applications cover juice, beverages, coffee concentrate, jam, and soy sauce or other seasoning liquids. Beverage plants and food processing companies are the usual users.
