For early calf feeding, the pouch is normally produced in a stand-up spouted format. Its three- or four-side seals are heat-reinforced to keep edges flat and help prevent leakage. The spout can be fitted with a cold-resistant fitment and screw cap, and an optional guide feeding tube allows direct connection to a feeder or drenching line, giving one-handed flow control. A dedicated area on the panel can be written on or labelled, making it easier for farms to separate colostrum by batch and to handle daily storage and dispensing.

Typical film constructions include PE, PET/PE and NY/PE multilayer laminates. The inner layer handles heat sealing and low-temperature performance, while the outer layer contributes stiffness and print quality; overall thickness is set according to filling temperature and storage conditions. Graphics are applied by 1-8 colour gravure printing, delivering clear patterns, colour blocks and text, with matte or gloss surface options. Standard capacities range from 100ml to 5L. Bag dimensions, spout diameter and tube size are selected to match the fill volume, and matching roll film in the same material can also be supplied.

These bags are used for calf colostrum, milk replacer and liquid nutritional supplements, as well as small-format liquid filling for veterinary products and pet nutrition liquids. The custom route is clear: confirm pouch style and capacity, submit a sample or artwork, approve the proof, then proceed to bulk production and shipment.
